YOUR PRAYER LANGUAGE  
Praying in the Spirit means your spirit is communicating directly with God.   "For one who speaks in a tongue does not speak to men, but to God; for no one understands, but in his spirit he speaks mysteries."  1 Corinthians 14:2.

Praying in the Spirit is a very powerful and perfect prayer, since you are allowing the Holy Spirit to pray through you because He can go to the heart of a matter, and He knows how to intercede for the problem. The Holy Spirit (Christ Himself) is interceding through your spirit.  "And in the same way the Spirit also helps our weakness; for we do not know how to pray as we should, but the Spirit Himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words.  Now He who searches the hearts knows what the mind of the Spirit is, because He makes intercession for the saints according to the will of God.."   Romans 8:26-27   This kind of prayer assures you that everything works for your good.  "And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His purpose." Romans 8:28. 

Since you do not always know how or what to pray in a given situation, you can bring the need before the Lord by praying in the Spirit. The Holy Spirit, your Helper, enables you to pray as you ought thereby praying in the Lord's will.  You should pray with your understanding also, but usually you have prayed all you can think to say in less than five minutes unless you are a person of many words (but are they the right ones?).  When you begin to pray in the Spirit - your spirit is totally connected and in agreement with God's Spirit, then you not only pray much longer, but you don't even want to stop praying.  Pray in tongues until you know you have 'prayed through', and don't stop when you think you are 'through praying'.  I know when I reach that point because I begin to laugh in the spirit - no matter how heavy the burden had been in the beginning.
PRAYING IN THE SPIRIT (or your 'prayer language') also helps you praise and worship God when 'known words' cannot accurately express your love and adoration unto God as well.  It seems to take you to a higher level of praise - a level of warfare that brings vengeance on the enemy or punishment (chastisement) on the backslidden to bring them back to God. Psalms 149  The Holy Spirit goes on the offensive as He battles through us.  A push or urge to launch out against the demonic forces rises in us, and we begin to intercede in a 'militant tongue' or 'warring in our prayer language'.  This is the warfare that brings deliverance, healing, and liberty - even faith for miracles.  

Also, unless you are praying and watching, you cannot know in the natural when satan and his demonic forces will launch an attack; however, when you are in prayer, the Holy Spirit will prompt you at the strategic time and keep you on the alert.   "The effective prayer of a righteous man can accomplish much." James 5:16.  "What is the outcome, then? I shall pray with the spirit and I shall pray with the mind also; I shall sing with the spirit and I shall sing with the mind also."  I Corinthians 14:15   Praying and praising in your 'prayer language' is God's secret anti-ballistic missile! 

Also, as you pray in the Spirit, you become built up, strengthened, and encouraged. You then have the refreshing ability to continue on in your intercessory warfare task.   "One who speaks in a tongue edifies himself... " I Corinthians 14:4   "But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith; praying in the Holy Spirit." Jude 1:20

When God's Word takes root in our hearts and is spoken out of our mouths, it becomes creative power, is alive, full of power, active, operative, energizing and effective...  The words that I have spoken unto you are spirit, and are life.  John 6:63

For the word of God is living, and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, and piercing even to the dividing of soul and spirit, of both joints and marrow, and quick to discern the thoughts and intents of the heart. Heb. 4:12 

We know that You are alert and active, watching over Your Word to perform it in our life. Jere.1:12

IF JESUS HAD TO PRAY TO PERFORM MIRACLES, HOW MUCH MORE MUST WE PRAY!!!

And after He had sent the multitudes away, He went up into the mountain apart to pray: and when even was come, He was there alone... And in the fourth watch of the night He came unto them, walking upon the sea. Matt. 14:23-25   The fourth watch -  3 to 6 AM

And in the morning, a great while before day, He rose up and went out, and departed into a desert place, and there prayed.  Mark 1:35

It came to pass in these days, that He went out into the mountain to pray; and He continued all night in prayer to God. Luke 6:12

HOW TO PRAY INTO GOD'S PRESENCE

Enter into His gates with thanksgiving and into His courts with praise. Ps. 100:4 The tabernacle gives us a pattern of how to enter into God's Presence.  The Priest entered the gate, into the court, then the Holy Place, where the candelabra, shew bread, and incense table was, and into the Holy of Holies behind the veil.  The priest had to be cleansed and sanctified to enter God’s presence or he died because holy things and fleshly things cannot be mixed, and God is a consuming fire. 
My soul thirsts for You; My flesh longs for You In a dry and thirsty land... Psalms 63:1 with my spirit  will I seek thee... Isa. 26:9

COURT OF PRAISE:  THE FLESH LONGS FOR GOD :

God inhabits the praises of His people. Ps. 22:3  The order of approach to the presence of God was first the brazen altar of sacrifice; then, the laver of cleansing Ex.40:6-7  in the outer court. a)  The Brazen Altar:  As we voice praises unto God, our trespasses   and shortcomings will be revealed so we can repent and  apply the sacrificial blood of Jesus. Here, self will be crucified.  b) The Brazen Laver:  After receiving forgiveness our praise becomes more sincere, and we proceed to the laver, representative of the Holy Spirit anointing us to enter the Holy Place of Worship.

THE LONGER WE PRAISE HIM IN HIS PRESENCE, THE LESS THE FLESH REMAINS.

HOLY PLACE OF WORSHIP:  The SOUL THIRSTS for God

Our praise becomes pure and genuine with a complete surrendering of ourselves unto God.  We eat of the Rhema Bread of Life, become enlightened by His Holy Light, and bask in the fragrance and anointing of the Holy Spirit in preparation to enter God's very Presence. The pure in heart can see God.  Matt. 5:8

HOLIES OF HOLIES:  The SPIRIT SEEKS for God

The Holy of Holies is the place where we begin to RECEIVE what we have been seeking.  We rest in the glory of God - not longing or thirsting - just DRINKING.        Seek and ye shall find .Matt. 7:7
The more time spent in His Presence - the greater longing we have for Him, we become additive to His Presence, and feel we cannot live without it.  Deep calls unto deep at the noise of Your waterfalls... Ps. 42:7  He will meet us behind the veil through his divine plan shown in the order of worship in the earthly pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of TheLord's Prayer as taught by Jesus Himself.  Praise and worship is our ultimate weapon because in God's presence, our enemies melt like wax.  Ps.68:2

A RELATIONSHIP WITH GOD SHOULD BE THE FIRST PRIORITY OF LIFE.   Thou wilt show me the path of life.  In thy presence is fullness of joy; at thy right hand there are pleasures for evermore. Ps. 16:11

FATHER, TEACH US HOW TO PRAY AND IMPART UNTO US THE DISCIPLINE WE NEED TO RISE EARLY EVERY MORNING TO PRAY.  REMIND US OF THE SPECIFIC THINGS WE NEED TO PRAY FOR. GIVE US THE BURDEN AND COMPASSION TO MAKE US MIGHTY PRAYER WARRIORS IN YOUR KINGDOM.  BIRTH A DESIRE INTO OUR SPIRIT TO PRAY AND TURN OUR PRAYERS INTO A HOLY DELIGHT IN SEEKING YOU.  HELP US TO LEARN TO HEAR AND RECOGNIZE YOUR VOICE AND TO RESPOND TO IT.

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name.
Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in
Heaven.  Give us this day our daily bread.
And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors.

When I was in school, The Lord's Prayer, which is a very powerful prayer, was said every morning by every school child and in every school in America.  This prayer was powerful enough to keep the 'wolves' from our doors.  When this prayer and Bible reading was taken from the schools, trouble escalated in our land as never before.  Morals have fallen to an all-time low.  God's favor cannot be on a country that wants no part of Him, hence we will eventually become a third-world country.  If you don't think so, read the Ecomomic Solutions page.

     FATHER, Establish Your KINGDOM in our schools and churches:  in the leaders, pastors, prophets, teachers, apostles, evangelists, and missionaries.  Bring all into subjection in Your KINGDOM.  Make us all pure channels through which the gifts and power of the Holy Spirit can flow giving us a burden and an anointing to pray.  Birth into us a revelation of the ministry of prayer. Bind all Christians with cords of love that cannot be broken.  We ask You to speak to the North, South, East, and West to release those that You Will to become heirs of Your KINGDOM, and to release the Holy Spirit to draw these souls into Your KINGDOM and angels to minister protection. Mt.18:19     
FATHER, establish Your KINDGDOM in our cities, states, and nation.  We decree that the President, governors, and leaders of our Nation, and the entire world will walk in the wisdom of God and that Jesus will reign as KING and LORD.  Give our leaders a burden to pray and a prayer warrior spirit, keeping us by Your power and might.  We decree peace on Israel, Your beloved people, and the fulfillment of all her promises, that all her needs will be met. O Lord, awaken America to stop taking Israel's land  and even return what they have already taken - the land you have given to Israel through covenant, so America will find favor from You once again, O God.   Enlarge our concern and compassion and empower more workers in the world with Your Might that people every-where will become a part of Your KINGDOM.  Blessed is the nation whose God is the Lord.Ps. 33:12 The saints of the Most High shall receive the kingdom, and possess the kingdom forever. And Jehovah shall be King over all the earth.  Zech. 14:9

THY WILL BE DONE ON EARTH AS IT IS IN HEAVEN

FATHER, We decree that Your WILL shall be done in all the earth.  Open our eyes to see that heaven is moved by our praying Your WILL. Eph.1:11 Teach us to do thy WILL. Ps.143:10  FILL us with the knowledge of Your WILL in all wisdom and spiritual understanding that we may walk worthy of  You, fully pleasing You, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of You, strengthened with all might, according to Your glorious power, unto all patience and longsuffering with joyfulness. Col.1:9-12   

FATHER, We decree that the wisdom of God be formed in us and the Spirit of Truth abide in us, teaching us all things, guiding us into all truth, and keeping us in Your perfect WILL. We decree to have the wisdom of God which gives us perfect knowledge of every situation and circumstance.  Reveal unto us the mystery of Your WILL according to Your counsel and make us complete in every good work through the riches of Your Enabling Grace. Eph.1:5-7  Help us to understand, obey, and pray Your Will,  Eph.5:17 so  so our prayers will be answered. I John 5:14  Help us to stay humble.
FATHER, Through Your Enabling Grace:  We will walk continually in Your Perfect Will.  We WILL NOT conform to this world, but WILL be transformed by renewing our mind through studying Your word and prayer that we may be in Your good, acceptable, and perfect Will. Rom.12:2 We will hide Your Word in our heart, so we will not sin. Ps.119:11 We WILL follow the Good Shepherd and know His voice.  The voice of a stranger we WILL NOT follow. John 10:3,11  As Your Word commands, we present our mind, soul and body a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable to You. Rom.12:1   We WILL obey and treasure Your Word, which declares that the love of and for You, Father, has been perfected and completed in us, I John 2:5 casting out all fear. I John 4:18  We WILL rejoice when right and truth prevail.  We WILL give You praise and thanksgiving in everything. I Thess.5:18 
FATHER, We commit and trust You to help us to walk in Your love and grace, flowing in Your Wisdom and Perfect WILL, that we will be humble, teachable and pliable in Your hands. James 4:6,10

GIVE US THIS DAY OUR DAILY BREAD

ALMIGHTY FATHER EL SHADDAI, Give us this day our daily bread,  and supply all our needs according to your riches so we are free from worry to minister in prayer, Phil.4:19...  because You are the One we rely on.  We have been faithful in bringing our tithes, offerings, and first fruits into the storehouse that Your house might have meat, so we decree that gifts will be given to us, good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over. Mal.3:10 You have given us power to get wealth and enlarged our harvest so we can be generous to supply seed to the sower and bread to the poor. Deut. 8:18; II Cor.9:10-11   You wish above all things that we may prosper and be in health as our soul prospers. III John 2 Thank you for taking pleasure in the prosperity of Your servants. Ps. 35:27 We confess before You and all the host of heaven and earth that the 100-fold return is ours.  Mark 10:30. Thank You that Your blessings make us truly rich and You add no sorrow with them. Prov.10:22 
      We profess this day that we have come into the inheritance of Your covenant, which You provide for us in Jesus Christ our High Priest.  You have filled our treasuries because You cause those who love You to inherit substance. Prov.8:21  As we pray for and give unto the poor, the widows, the orphans, into Your ministries, and unto your people, the Jews, to help them return home, we decree and receive blessings, honor, and favor from you. Gen. 12:3; Ps. 112:9 Help us to dwell together with our brethren in unity… for there the Lord bestows his blessings. Ps.133:1,3  Satan will not devour our blessings, and for what he has already devoured, he will have to return seven times over.  Prov.6:31  …for the prey of the terrible shall be delivered unto us… Isa.49:25 There will be nothing lacking… we will recover ALL. I Sam. 30:19  We bind the enemy's assignments against our finances, and we loose the blessings of God into our lives. Matt. 16:19   Lord, help us to not be lazy.  By Your Grace, we will work diligently at whatever task in life you have given. Prov.10:4
Help us to remember to be humble so we will hear You and will be obedient in giving what you ask of us.  Ps.10:17

FORGIVE OUR DEBTS (TRESPASSES)

FATHER, When we confess and repent of our sins, You are faithful to forgive us and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness.  I John 1:9  We ask for and receive forgiveness so we can stand before You with a pure conscience, void of offense and have perfect fellowship with You.  Search our heart and see if there be any unconfessed sins or wicked way in us. Ps. 139:23-24  Let Your Spirit defy the spirit of unforgiveness, anger, revenge, bitterness, and grief that has ruled in our life.  Forgive us if we have hurt anyone or been resentful, annoyed, repelled or made anyone to stumble. Thank You for forgiving ALL our generational iniquities. Ps. 103:3  Cleanse us by the washing of water with Your Word. Eph. 5:26  We decree we are rooted deep in Your Love and founded securely in You, and nothing shall separate us from Your love. Rom.8:38-39

AS WE FORGIVE OUR DEBTORS

FATHER, give us a revelation of Calvary and the price Your Son paid for our forgiveness that we may see that our debt against You is greater than any debt a person will ever owe us.  Give us a loving heart that we may respond with love and endure long, strive for patience and be kind to our debtors.  Remove selfishness and create in us compassion, favor, and loving-kindness.  Cleanse, purify and enlarge our heart to love others more.  Make us ever ready to believe the best of everyone.  Through Your Enabling Grace:  We will not be rude, unmannerly, unbecomingly, nor insist on our own way, we will not be envious, nor boil over with jealousy, and we will not be boastful or vainglorious toward others. I Cor.13  Whosoever sins we forgive, they are forgiven unto them; whosoever [sins] we retain, they are retained. John 20:23   For that reason we forgive all our enemies and claim them into Your Kingdom.  We will not judge others that we be not judged. Matt.7:1 We will speak no lies nor guile, but will be wise as serpents and harmless as doves. Matt.10:16  We will not rejoice at injustice and unrighteousness in our enemies, we will bless those who persecute us, and we commit to plant seeds of love, that will produce Your love everywhere.

LEAD US NOT INTO TEMPTATION

FATHER, lead us not into temptation and help us to not lean to our own understanding.  In all our ways we acknowledge You and ask You to direct our paths so we will not fall if tempted. Prov.3:6 You are faithful to suffer us to not be tempted above that we are able to stand against, and you will make a way of escape. I Cor. 10:13  Only You know how to deliver us out of temptation.  II Peter 2:9  In the name of Jesus, and according to the power of the Holy Spirit that is at work in us, we will keep awake  and watch and pray that we may not enter into temptation. DELIVER US FROM EVIL

FATHER, Deliver and keep us from all evil.  Ps. 121:7 We love You and hate evil; You will keep our soul safe.  Ps. 97:10; 141:4  Hide us from the secret counsel of evil doers, and from the tumult of the workers of iniquity. Ps. 62:2 We will fear no evil; for thou art with us. Ps. 23:4  Greater is the Holy Spirit that is in us, than the one in the world, and the evil one cannot touch us. I John 4:4; 5:18    You are faithful to establish us and guard us from the evil one. II Thess. 3:33  We ask You to help us to tame our tongue, for Your Word says it is a restless evil and full of deadly poison. James 3:8  Clothe us and all our family with your armor and cover us with your life-giving blood.  Eph. 6   THROUGH YOUR GRACE:  We fret not, we cease from anger and forsake wrath for it tendeth only to evil-doing. Ps. 37:8 We observe to do Thy Word and refrain our feet from every evil way.  Ps. 119:101  We take all evil thoughts into captivity unto Jesus, for we have the mind of Christ. I Cor. 2:16 We seek and pursue peace, do good, and depart from evil. Ps. 34:14  We prove all things, hold fast that which is good, and abstain from every form of evil.  I Thess. 5:21-22  We put away all  wickedness, guile, hypocrisies, envy, and evil speaking I Peter 2:1  We have overcome the evil one because we know the Father, and the Word of God abideth in us.  I John 2:13   And we remind Satan, the evil one:  "And the devil that deceived them was cast into the lake of fire and brimstone, where the beast and the false prophet are, and shall be tormented day and night forever and ever."  Rev.20:10

FOR THINE IS THE KINGDOM,
AND THE POWER, AND THE GLORY FOREVER

Our Lord Jesus, the Kingdom is Yours, and All Power is Yours, and You are All Glorious.  Thine, O Jehovah, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heavens and in the earth [is thine]; thine is the kingdom, O Jehovah, and thou art exalted as head above all. I Chron. 29:11   Glory and honor are in his presence. I Chron.16:27  Worthy art thou, our Lord and our God, to receive the glory and the honor and the power: for thou didst create all things, and because of thy will they were created. Rev. 4:11  O Jehovah, our Lord, How excellent is thy name in all the earth, Who hast set thy glory upon the heavens!Ps. 8:1   Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Ps.24:8
Be thou exalted, O God, above the heavens; Let thy glory be above all the earth. Ps. 57:11;  Ps. 108:5  So have I looked upon thee in the sanctuary, To see thy power and thy glory.  Ps. 63:2  And blessed be His glorious name for ever; And let the whole earth be filled with His glory. Amen and Amen. Ps. 72:19  When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the angels with him, He shall sit on the throne of his glory. Mt. 25:31  For of him, and through him, and unto him, are all things. To him the glory for ever. Amen. Rom. 11:36  Now unto the King eternal, immortal, invisible, the only God, [be] honor and glory forever and ever. Amen. I Tim. 1:17 Saying, Amen: Blessing, glory, wisdom, thanksgiving, honour, power, and might, be unto our God for ever and ever. Amen. Rev.7:12  Holy, holy, holy, Lord God Almighty, which was, and is, and is to come. Rev. 4:8 
God shares His glory with the saints:  Jehovah will give grace and glory; No good thing will he withhold from them that walk uprightly. Ps. 84:11  And the glory which thou hast given me I have given unto them; that they may be one, even as we [are] one; John 17:22  But glory, honor, and peace, shall be awarded to everyone who (habitually) does good...  Rom. 2:10 AMP   Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men in whom He is well pleased. Luke 2:14

POWER FROM FASTING     "THE SECRET OF JESUS' POWER"
This is the Lord's word to every disciple who hears His voice. Are you His disciple? Do you want to be His disciple? Then say with me right where you are, "As the Father sent Jesus, Jesus is sending me!" Jesus is our ultimate model in life, in faith, and in ministry. According to Him, you and I are called and anointed to follow in His footsteps as 'sent ones' into the world.
How could Jesus do these things and accomplish the astounding miracles we see throughout the four Gospels? The secret of His power is found in Luke 4:14: "Then Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit to Galilee, and news of Him went out through all the surrounding region."
Look carefully at the difference between verses 1 and 14 of Luke chapter 4: Before the temptation in the wilderness, the Bible says that Jesus was filled with the Spirit. That is a good thing, but look at verse 14. At the end of the wilderness temptation and 40 days of fasting, Jesus had totally defeated satan and came out of that experience in the power of the Spirit! He was led of the Holy Spirit into the wilderness to be tested. As He obeyed, under the unction of the Holy Spirit, He became empowered to pull down satanic strongholds. So there is a clear difference between being filled with the Spirit and operating in the power of the Spirit!
Something transformed Jesus from being a 'Spirit-filled' man into a man who walked in the 'power' of the Spirit. Remember that Christ was fully God and fully man. His example in fasting provides God's insight into dealing with obstacles of both flesh and spirit. We need to make the secret of Jesus' power the secret of our power, because He is, after all, our ultimate model.
Many of us function at the level of being filled with the Spirit, and I firmly believe that the in-filling of the Holy Spirit is wonderful. But it is only the first stage of progression beyond salvation. We need to go on.
Jesus fully completed the process in only 40 days, but it would probably take you and me much longer. The important point here is to begin. The disciples were with Jesus for three years, during which time they were discipled under the anointing of Jesus Christ. Yet it was only after the wilderness of the crucifixion and the time of fasting and prayer in the upper room that they pressed through and received both the in-filling of the Holy Spirit and the dunamis or 'power' of the Spirit to boldly proclaim the Gospel in the face of opposition.
I want you to see that fasting helps release the power of the Spirit in our lives. It doesn't necessarily help you 'earn' more grace from God, but it facilitates the freer flow of the Holy Spirit through you by dissolving and removing all the junk in your life. This can only be accomplished through times of fasting and prayer.
If you give yourself to the Lord in a life that's committed to prayer and to fasting, His anointing will begin to flow through you in greater and greater power. These things are the 'first works' we are called to do if we want to do the works of Jesus Christ. The initial or first work of Jesus before He went into His ministry in the power of the Spirit was to fast and wage spiritual warfare in prayer and the Word.
You don't have to go on dramatically long fasts to get the benefits of fasting and spiritual warfare. The critical element is not the length of the fast, but that you yield to His leading. I've noticed that God always raises up certain men and women to personally live out certain truths to extreme depths so they can speak and teach them to others with proven authority. God is not interested in teaching 'theory,' but in imparting spiritual truths backed up by solid personal experience and application of His Word. 
Since our weapons (and therefore our victory) are not found in the natural realm of 'flesh and blood,' our enemy, the devil, will try as often as he can to get us into the natural or fleshly mode of battle and struggle. The most effective way for you and me to put our flesh in its place and walk in the spirit is to fast and pray. If the Son of God fasted and prayed for power in His ministry, why should you and I think we are exempt from these things?
Jesus expects you to fast and to pray. In Matthew 6:5-7, He didn't say, "When you feel like praying..." No, He said three times, "When you pray..." Not if.
In the same way, Jesus didn't say, "If you should someday decide to try to fast, although I know it's almost impossible for you..." in Matthew 6:16-17. No, He said, "When you fast..." He didn't give us the option not to fast. He considered it to be such a natural part of the Christian life that He told the disciples and their critics that prayer and fasting would be a part of their lives after He left them. Nothing has changed since He said those words. If you are a Christian, then you pray. If you are a Christian, then you fast.
It is about time for us to do the world-changing works of Jesus as we see the devastation in the world around us!
